14° Pezcoller Seminar

Aim of the course is to provide clinic-pathological lectures, followed by informal and interactive microscopic sessions using the virtual slide technology. Professor Tavassoli will cover several aspects of breast and gynecologic pathology.

Target of the course are general surgical pathologists. The number of participants will be limited to 50 people and therefore early application is advised. The participants will be accepted on a first arrived first served basis. There are no fees for the course, but registration is mandatory. Since the number of participants is limited, cancellations are to be communicated to the organizing secretariat as to allow other people to attend the course. Please contact the organizers and ask for availability before registering.

During the interactive microscopic sessions, Prof. Tavassoli will illustrate to the participants a set of teaching cases. Cases will include unusual ones, as well as those frequently encountered where much controversies and interobserver disagreement can be seen.

All participants are strongly encouraged to freely discuss the cases shown by Professor Tavassoli, in an informal and constructive way.

Participants are also invited to bring their own unusual/ problematic cases, along with a brief clinical history. The relevant slides should be scanned with the Aperio technology. The Department of Surgical Pathology of the Hospital in Trento can scan these slides, provided that these are received at least 10 days in advance.
