"Seven fellowships to support younger researchers": Trento, September 29, 2024

The winners of the 2025 - 2026 Pezcoller-SIC fellowships were announced last Sept. 25 at the University of Milan, during the Annual Congress of the Italian Society of Cancerology (SIC). Active from Jan. 1, 2025, the fellowships (30.000€/year per 2 years) are among the grants aimed at oncology research promises, put in place by the Foundation.
The 7 recipients were chosen by a special scientific committee from among 30 cancer research projects, and were presented at the Congress by the Foundation President Enzo Galligioni:
“It was an honor to present the 7 winners in the presence of more than 450 Italian researchers. These grants,” he explained, ”testify to the Foundation's continuous support and attention to Italian oncology research, which has been committed to supporting young talent for about 20 years. This is all thanks to the Trentino community, which, through donations, has been willing to participate generously in the common fight against cancer. Because today's research is tomorrow's cure” .
