{"id":10560,"date":"2026-09-03T07:41:49","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T07:41:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pezcoller.it\/over-e90000-raised-for-cancer-research-thanks-to-patty\/"},"modified":"2026-10-01T14:43:38","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T14:43:38","slug":"over-e90000-raised-for-cancer-research-thanks-to-patty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pezcoller.it\/en\/over-e90000-raised-for-cancer-research-thanks-to-patty\/","title":{"rendered":"Over \u20ac90,000 Raised for cancer research thanks to Patty"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the day of the <strong>&#8220;Festa in Rosa&#8221;<\/strong> (Pink Party), the annual event held to raise funds for research <strong>in memory of Patrizia<\/strong>, we interviewed her brother, Nicola.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abMy sister passed away on June 1st, 2016, and we started this initiative that very August. Choosing a party was our way of finding strength together, but also of remembering Patty as she truly was: a real party lover. What started in the early years with just friends and acquaintances has grown to <strong>hundreds of people<\/strong> coming together for a wonderful evening where fun goes hand in hand with <strong>supporting research<\/strong>.\u00bb  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Over the years, we have managed to raise an impressive \u20ac90,000 and donate it all to cancer research. This year, our goal is to reach six figures.&#8221; In 2019, these donations funded the two-year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pezcoller.it\/en\/the-pezcoller-foundation-sic-patrizia-coser-fellowship\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.pezcoller.it\/it\/borse-fondazione-pezcoller-sic-patrizia-coser\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Pezcoller-SIC &#8220;Patrizia Coser&#8221; Fellowship<\/em>,<\/a> and <strong>another fellowship will be established in January 2027<\/strong>: &#8220;Seeing the money go toward something concrete and prestigious, like a research fellowship, helps overcome any skepticism.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div
