The Pezcoller Foundation-SIC-Andrea and Libi Lorini Foundation Felowship
Established in 2026 through a partnership with the Andrea and Libi Lorini Foundation of Milan, this two-year fellowship (€30,000/year) was created to support and reward the career paths of outstanding cancer researchers.
The fellowship is open to young researchers who have completed a Master’s degree, a Specialization or a Ph.D. at a university in Milan.
The winner of this fellowship is Giancarla Bernardo from the Istituto Nazionale Tumori di Milano, with a project will investigate how specific commensal bacteria within melanoma lesions impact the immune response, with the ultimate goal of predicting and preventing tumor recurrence.
