February 1980

Establishment of the Pezcoller Foundation thanks to the bequest of Prof. Alessio Pezcoller

March 1982

Official recognition of the Foundation by decree of the President of the Italian Republic

1988

First Pezcoller research award to Vincent De Vita

1994

Establishment of the FECS “Pezcoller Recognition For Contribution To Oncology Award”, to recognize a single health professional for dedication of his/her professional life to the fight against cancer

1997

Agreement with the American Association for Cancer Research for the establishment of the International Pezcoller-AACR Award

2006

Agreement with the Italian Society of Cancerology for the provision of research fellowships

2012

Agreement with the European Association for Cancer Research for the establishment of the Pezcoller-EACR Cancer Researcher Award

2020

Agreement with the University of Trento for the establishment of PhD fellowships.

Establishment of the Pezcoller-Marina Larcher Fogazzaro-EACR Women In Cancer Research Award

2022

Agreement with The Mark Foundation for Cancer Research for the establishment of the EACR-Mark Foundation-Pezcoller Foundation Rising Star Award

2025

Thanks to the generous bequest of Marina Larcher Fogazzaro, the Pezcoller Foundation has a new headquarters at Palazzo Bortolazzi Larcher Fogazzaro

2026

Pezcoller Foundation becomes a Philanthropic Organization.
