“Nobel Laureate Kaelin against Trump”

«Science is under attack—an attack that must be answered politically, including at the ballot box».

Nobel Prize winner in Medicine William G. Kaelin spoke yesterday on the sidelines of the 36th Pezcoller Symposium, where he serves as scientific director, highlighting the severity of the attack on scientific freedom carried out by the Trump administration.

Also interviewed alongside him were Chiara Ambrogio, immunologist and professor of molecular biology at the University of Turin, and Francesca Demichelis, Vice-Rector for Research at the University of Trento. They spoke about the expanding communication in the scientific field and the importance of understanding and utilizing new Artificial Intelligence tools now available to science and research: “The public has realized the enormous potential of these tools, which should be approached with both caution and enthusiasm.”
